And those were the greatest days in radio history. Sadly, Music Radio 77 is no longer on the air, having now been converted into a news/talk station (like all of the old AM music stations) under the call letters WABC. But you can find the link to Music Radio 77, and many more radio station tribute links right here! Most of these stations played the “real” Top-40 music (and not that CHR crap we have today, either!), some played Beautiful Music (the precursor to our Adult Contemporary format), and others played country. But these stations have either changed formats or just completely disappeared forever. Fortunately, though, the memories live on through these tribute sites that I’ve collected for the U.S. and Canada. Enjoy!

About Bill
Bill was born and raised in New York City, and he grew up listening to WABC Radio, back when it was Music Radio 77. He remained a loyal listener until the end, and he still has tapes from the legendary station’s broadcasts. Today, Bill listens mainly to WLTW (106.7 Lite FM) and WCBS-FM’s HD2 station (he can‘t stand the new Jack FM, even though it does play the largest selection of all music radio formats). He lives in Staten Island with his wife of 36 years, Elaine. They have three children: Mark, Stephanie and Bill, Jr., who are all grown up.
